I got 2 lshttpd 4.0.9 processes running, one for root and one for me as user (I run it like that). Is that normal?

Where do I find that? Any changes that has to be made in LSWS?

LSAPI as gem and manually installed

Can you have an older version of lsapi installed manually and the latest lsapi as gem? Which one will be used? For LSWS 4.0.4

    No core file is created?

Thanks. Where can I find it? Will it be created during a regular startup and gives clues to an Auto-Restart problem?

    No core file is created?

What does this mean when LS gives this NOTICE in the log: [AutoRestarter]....no core file is created! Should there be a core file created? And what is the core file?

    Often restarted

I haven't done this yet but I need to do this to understand why it's restarted. :) What is the core file? Is that bin/lshttpd?

Move old conf files into new install

I did mess it up so I had to reinstall. I think it was due to some difference in basic settings, like php, etc. I guess its easier to just copy the xml-code for each VH in the right places. I'll try that.

Move old conf files into new install

I have reinstalled LSWS from scratch as I've upgraded my HD. Can I move over the old conf-files for each host and the main httpd_config.xml in my previous installation and not have to enter all data again?

    Cache problem

An expires header in the browser? No I don't think so. I don't know what it does and I'm unsure what to look for, besides the request hitting the server (which has nothing to do with overwriting). The only thing I know is that this will only happen when LS is involved. It doesn't happen with...

    Cache problem

Would still put my money on an LS issue. PHP sites behaves the same. Can't overwrite files after they've been rendered in the browser, until after a while.

    Cache problem

Ok. I'll try that. What about running on WEBrick? Shouldn't the same issue occur?

    Cache problem

The access is registered, yes. Both in rails log and server log. However, the server log debug says so much that I don't know what to say. I guess the request is there, yes. Sorry to say but LS does prevent a file from being overwritten. It's no question about it. This is only when LS is...

    Cache problem

I understand. It's a bit difficult when I don't know what to look for. On the other hand I believe it must be a good clue that LS obviously "get hold" of the particular file and occupy it so it's impossible to overwrite it, for a while. You know what LS does that occupies the file, I don't.
