First steps with LSWS on isp manager

#1
Hi,

I've just got my first LSWS licence and i'm trying to test it on a machine running isp manager.

  1. in the installer there's option to chose a control panel. #7 is isp mananger but it shows i should select 0-6 and doesn't accept typing in 7. why?
  2. i installed without any control panel option but i don't know if thats the problem. after setting up to read apache configuration it imports the vhosts quite well but it seems to knock of my apache. after swithching off apache and setting the port offset to 0 i couldn't get apache to work again (after setting back apache offset to 2000 of course). My apache init script and the binary in /usr/sbin/httpd seemed to be overwritten bei lsws installer. Is this intended to be? In panic i reinstalled the http packets (i'm using cloudlinux) but i'm unsure how this shoud be
  3. Probably it would be a good idea to clearify why i couldn't select isp manager in the installer and what's the best way to get this all working.

Thanks for you help!

ok i managed to hack the installer to make "7" available and that basically worked. I could install using the isp manager option. It correctly chose apache/apache as user/group and set everything up.

Unfortunately it used php4 for default vhost even though as far as i can see lsphp5 is set to be used for php suffix. I don't really understand everything on lsws so far so that's a bit problematic for me.

any help?

Thanks, i found out i need to build php5 first as there's only an old php4 version delivered with the package.

I wonder if this all integrates into isp manager anyhow - especially regarding the logfiles.

We'll see...
