I was wondering if it is possible to limit a number of connections from download accelerators to whatever amount you set. Some threads can have a lot of attachments ranging from 1-7 megs each and it kills php/mysql when some attempts to download all those attachments at once with like 4-8 connections on each of them. There were some modules for apache that 'kinda' work, but still not useful. If LS is able to implement this feature, it would be great.

With Enterprise edition, you can limit the number of requests to dynamic generated content, set it to "1", so those files can be downloaded one by one.
It is a better choice to let LiteSpeed serve those files directly.

In this case, does dynamic generated content refer to the files served through php?

    yes, it does.

I tried that and it still downloads multiple attachments at once. I suppose it does not affect persistent connections from web browsers?

Do you mean instead of using attachments, just use the [IMG]

Anything goes through PHP script will be limited by the dynamic request per second.
