Litespeed on VPS

I have my Prestashop sites on a shared server that run Litespeed, and benifit out of it.
If I where to move my sites to a VPS would I need Litespeed? Some sys admins that I have talked to say that no, nginx is just enough and that Litespeed is more or less only needed for a shared env.

As you mentioned, if your current prestashop is running LiteSpeed Prestashop cache plugin, which has boosted your site loading TTFB dramatically, then you will still need LiteSpeed web server + LiteSpeed Prestashop cache plugin to make it work, Nginx or Apache cannot provide such performance.
