I tried to look but could not find info, so

I have two LS licenses, 4-CPU Enterprise owned (on server A) and 2-CPU Enterprise rented (on server B).

I'm soon moving server A to B, and will later move that 2-CPU rented to yet another server (C).

1. How do I change server B from 2-CPU rented to 4-CPU owned?

2. On server A will there be a period while LS still functions after licence is moved to server B (while move/DNS propagation is on progress)?

Thanks.

this wiki page
https://www.litespeedtech.com/suppo...d_wiki:licenses:transfer-or-release-a-license
should address the issue you mentioned. if not, please point out so we can improve the document.

the steps should be
1. on Server A, run /usr/local/lsws/bin/lshttpd -m
2. on Server B, copy the serial.no on Server A, then run
/usr/local/lsws/bin/lshttpd -r

there are 3 overlap days for 4-CPU license to run on Server A and B in parallel.
Thanks, done and new server has now the owned 4-CPU running fine :)

In the Wiki there is one odd sentence:
"Assume you already copied over the same directory over."

What iit should tell is that
"Copy current serial.no from old server to the new".

Now I do not need the rented 2-CPU for about a 3-4 weeks, is there an option to put it "on hold" and pay for it when needed again (next due date is 01/01/2014), or is it just better/easier to cancel it?

just cancel and reorder if you do not need it now.
Done :)

One small wish: please add to log viewer a CSS limit for max-width to td class "log_I2", now e.g. a security log with a long message can push a page 100 times wider than it is, and push also command buttons somewhere there.

Happy new year!
