I've just set up a website using LiteSpeed V6.8
The root directory is showing this text: User-agent: * Crawl-Delay: 20
There is a robots.txt in the root, but its not the source of the content being shown.
If I alter or delete robots.txt it doesn't have any effect.

If I browse to test.php or /test/index.php, everything works as expected.
If I browse to /index.php , it goes to / and shows User-agent: * Crawl-Delay: 20

Do you recognize these symptoms? What could be the problem?

so you're saying the home page is not correct while other pages are ok ?

it may relate to rewrite rules in .htaccess,
you can post it here or send it to me via "Start a Conversation" along the URL of the homepage.

Yes, that's correct. Its only a problem with the home page.

Where is "Start a conversation". ?
This problem existed before there was any .htaccess file or any other content added to the root directory.
I could delete everything in the root directory and it would still show User-agent: * Crawl-Delay: 20

it's been fixed itself. from "Peter Pitchford":
"Its fixed but I'm not sure what was causing the problem. Some one else deleted the robots file and that apparently fixed it. I had tried that myself. It works now, thanks."
