Hello,

Sorry if I've missed a thread where this was discussed/resolved.

A Wordpress user on the server I'm running Litespeed Web Server 5.1.17 (cPanel server) on has reported they've started receiving
The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2017...
message when trying to upload a file to Wordpress. I am not certain when exactly this started happening, as I've rebuilt the server a month or so ago, so I can't be sure how it worked on the "old" settings.

When server is switched to Apache, upload works.

Error is not logged in /usr/local/apache/logs/error_log , /usr/local/apache/logs/stderr.log or in the application error log.

Supposedly this is an permissions/ownership issue, but I have not found where is the cause.

What additional information would I need to provide?

Thank you for the help!

normally errors should show in log files.
How about run the following?
/scripts/disablefileprotect

Hello!

Thanks, unfortunately, that didn't help:
Code:
[root@server ~]# /scripts/disablefileprotect
Setting /home permissions to 0711......Done
Setting permissions for.....
user1 …
user2 …
user3 …
...Done
I'm still getting the error when trying to upload to Media library:
9.jpgThe uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2017/08.

Thank you for the help!

Thank you NiteWave!

I have foolishly disabled php Suexec mode during installation and have forgotten about it. It was fixed by changing 0 to 1 for phpSuExec in the httpd_config.xml in lsws conf folder ( forum doesn't like posting the full solution as it recognizes it as spam, but this should be descriptive enough)

Thanks once again!
