strange incident solved only by system restart

I had something weird happen yesterday where suddenly absolutely no pages would be served. I could get into the admin menus just fine, I was able to restart it from the panel and from shell, even tried clearing out the /tmp directory, dropped the firewall, etc. but it refused to respond on port 80 or 443

In the end I got the bright idea to restart the entire VPS and that fixed it.

I've never, ever, experienced that with litespeed during two years of use. Any ideas what it was? If it happens again, anything I should try?

It is hard to say now, maybe some system resource has been taken by other processes to prevent LSWS from working properly, VPS is tricky.
