vbseo sitemap issue since upgrade to v4.2.22

Not sure if this is related to litespeed, but since i upgraded to v4.2.22, my vbseo sitemap generater sometimes fails to completely generate the sitemap

this results in sitemap file not found message. only 2 of the 3 sitemap .gz files are created and i need to manually run sitemap generator to fix problem. Manually run always fixes problem

Sitemap auto generate fail happens like 3 or 4 times per week. But sometimes works

Nothing changed on my end other than litespeed upgrade... Any idea of potential change in litespeed that would cause problem?

Is there some script timeout setting maybe that could be causing problems? Perhaps in litespeed or maybe php config?
Trying determine if related to litespeed upgrade or not

i have tried increasing the max_execution_time in PHP config .. i think that might be problem as my site is growing and value too low. will let know if fixes
