    OS X Startup Item

Not sure where to post this... I'm just wondering if anyone has created an OS X startup item for LiteSpeed, and if so, if they would mind sharing it for others?

Rewrite Engine does not pick up correct REQUEST_FILENAME when using PATH_INFO

There is an odd problem in LiteSpeed 3. When using the Rewrite Engine, the REQUEST_FILENAME doesn't appear to be correctly set when using urls that have PATH_INFO. For example, the following Rewrite Rules worked fine on earlier versions of LiteSpeed, and they also work fine on other...

3.0 Version Manager not downloading new releases

Thanks! * A news announcement may be helpful as I'm sure there are others unaware of the 3.0.1 upgrade on account of the 3.0.0 upgrade manager not working. ;-)

3.0 Version Manager not downloading new releases

The 3.0 version manager doesn't appear to be downloading new releases. The 2.2.6 manager downloaded and installed 3.0 just fine, but there has been a 3.0.1 release for a few days now, and the 3.0 manager has yet to download it. I have my version check setting set to daily, and the download...

Web Admin for 3.0 has PHP errors.

I like the new look for the Web Admin, but mine is filled with PHP warnings and notices about expected arrays, etc. Most of the warnings come from classes/ws/ConfCenter.php, around the member $this->_serv->_data['listeners'] which the class expects to be an array. However, if you have no...

Huge props to the LiteSpeed team

I just have to give a huge thanks and appreciation to the LiteSpeed team. I recently switched our production server from Apache 1.3 to LiteSpeed, which has saved us approx. 500 MB of RAM usage and 500 MB of swap space usage that Apache had to keep dipping into. That's a total of about 1 G of...

    php SuEXEC no working?

    Yes I start it under root and it runs as www. PowerBook-G4:~ dreamscape$ sudo lswsctrl start [OK] lshttpd: pid=6940. PowerBook-G4:~ dreamscape$ ps aux | grep lshttpd www 6944 0.4 0.1 46032 1128 ?? S 9:57AM 0:00.02 ./lshttpd root 6940 0.2 0.2 46032 2020...

    php SuEXEC no working?

On my local development install of LSWS (2.2.6 Standard), I can't get php SuEXEC to work. I have followed the instructions at http://www.litespeedtech.com/support/wiki/doku.php?id=litespeed_wiki:cgi_fcgi_lsapi_php_suexec to set up a virtual host for php SuEXEC; however, the lsphp process is...

    stderr.log and LSAPI core dumps

I did have PHP_LSAPI_MAX_REQUESTS set before, and it didn't seem to do anything as the lsphp processes quit rather quickly. Reading the docs, from what I could gather, PHP_LSAPI_MAX_REQUESTS has no effect if lshttpd is parenting the processes, which I have that set up. I think the problem is...

    stderr.log and LSAPI core dumps

Yep it sure is. Increased them to 60 and 120 respectively. LiteSpeed/2.2.6 Standard 2.4 of the PHP LSAPI module, compiled with PHP 5.2.1 Not sure if it helps, but some other system info is: CentOS 4.4 Intel Pentium D 820 (2.80GHz) For the record, I also have LiteSpeed/2.2.6 Standard...

    stderr.log and LSAPI core dumps

Ok, the LSAPI PHP core dumps all have this: "Program terminated with signal 24, CPU time limit exceeded." I'm used to seeing something like "Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault." in a core dump, but "CPU time limit exceeded" ??

    stderr.log and LSAPI core dumps

err, never-mind on this issue. I've figured out what it is from and it is unrelated.

    stderr.log and LSAPI core dumps

Thanks for the reply mistwang. That's the only problem: the cause is always something different. Is the LSAPI module known to be 100% compatible with newer PHP versions such as 5.2 ? Also, any idea what the "which: no convert in ((null))" entries mean in the LSWS stderr.log ?

    stderr.log and LSAPI core dumps

I'm having some kind of issue with the PHP LSAPI module. It is doing core dumps all over the place in multiple web accounts. I know it is the LSAPI module because if I input the core dumps into bdg it tells me they are created by the PHP LSAPI module. But when I backtrace, the reason is...

    Website problems

No it seemed to be random. I'm running OS X 10.4.8. Actually I found this thread which seems to indicate that restart may fail if the admin listener is *:7080 and it may be fixed by using a specific IP, if I am reading it correctly...

    Dedicated IP VirtualHosts from httpd.conf

Sure. I just emailed a portion of the httpd.conf over. The SSL certificates are not working either. If I try to connect to one of the SSL hosts using curl to see the error, I get the message "unknown protocol". The certificates were all setup & installed through WHM, so the keys and...

I've had this happen a few times when restarting the server, goes down and never comes back up, but haven't had it happen on its own.
