The thread under this one, people asked for more thorough documentation and real life config, etc. This sounds like an excellent idea. I'm sure that mistawang is constantly busy improving the product. We should as a community post tweaks and links on the detailed settings of each litespeed parameter and help each other out. I know all lot of people running their own server, some pros, some just starting out, and others in between, who could use help in knowing exactly what "Receive Buffer Size",etc, would do to their server performance/security. Google can only help so much. I am experienced with using litespeed as a proxy for java web apps, mainly jetty and tomcat, and serving static content with optimal cache parameters. Well one tip i can suggest for starters, is to read this excellent section of Yahoo: http://developer.yahoo.com/performance/ There are no specific litespeed guides there, but the topics cover optimizing web performance in general which will help you understand why a product such as Litespeed is highly desirable and possibly aid in further tuning your server. Also firefox, with firebug, yslow, livehttpheaders plugins help specifically on the cache tuning of your litespeed server among other things.
