Hello I'm trying to uninstall and get this error after running the commands below. The exact read out is listed.

    root@vps708 [/lsws-3.3.24/admin/misc]# ./uninstall.sh

    All sub directories under "/lsws-3.3.24"
created during installation will be removed!
However, conf/ and logs/ can be optionally preserved.
If you want to preserve any file under the other sub-directories created
by installation script, please backup before proceeding.

    Manually created sub-directories under "/lsws-3.3.24"
    will not be touched.

Do you want to uninstall LiteSpeed Web Server? [y/N]y

LiteSpeed web server is running, it must be stopped in order to continue
    uninstallation.

Would you like to stop it now? [Y/n]y

    [OK] lshttpd: stopped.

Failed to stop server, uninstallation abort!

Just stop lsws with command "lsws/bin/lswsctrl stop" in advance.

Thank you, I went and tried to run that command but it appears when the uninstall aborted it removed most of the directories including admin and bin?

If it aborted why did it remove the directories?

actually, you can remove the lsws directory to uninstall litespeed.

I used the uninstaller but when restarting apache it still restarts LS.
I removed the directory but the same thing still happens.
