Which LSWS version is supposed to be latest 4.2.1 or 4.2.2?

4.2.2 is the latest. It used to show 4.1.x as latest for a while, when we upgraded to 4.2 a while back. Guess the auto update servers or at least the CPanel plugin server hasn't been brought up to speed yet.

    Nobody process in LS 4.2.2

Earlier php must have been working as user and now since it is running as nobody, it can't save images in folders, which aren't chmod 777. So you can either fix the directory permissions or switch to suExec.

    How to stop hot linking

Had been scouring through vb and vb.org, looks like there is no easy solution for stopping vb attachments to be embedded elsewhere, due to the fact that it is dynamic URL.

    How to stop hot linking

It can be downloaded. Real problem are the image attachments, which are uploaded on our forum and then reposted elsewhere. While its not a major annoyance, it causes extra resource and bandwidth usage, which I would like to avoid, without disabling attachments for guests.

    How to stop hot linking

It seems to stop normal images to be embedded elsewhere, but doesn't stops the attachments to be embedded elsewhere, like this.

    How to stop hot linking

I am running 2 CPU license of Litespeed with LASPI (not running suEXEC) with vbulletin forum. I want to stop people from hot linking our attachments, since due to vb using php to serve those attachments; it wastes a lot of our resources. I am not quite sure how to go about it, since CPanel...

    mod_pagespeed porting to litespeed?

Would love to see this feature being added to Litespeed, hope the developers are already working on it.

    Memcache + xCache

If you are running suPHP (default mode on Litespeed), then xcache wouldn't work and you will need to use Memcache instead, along with eAccelerator in disk cache mode.

Improving the responsiveness of the server

Thanks George for the suggestions, but Facebook connect is actively use on our forum for both registration and sharing of posts. And believe it or not, when I did the same test on vbseo forum to check the effectiveness of maxcdn, it actually showed similar results! Right now I am contemplating...

Improving the responsiveness of the server

Actually I managed to shave off another .2 to .3 seconds by serving JS files through Google. But the thing is, these are the times of US based test server. In case of India, due to latency and slower internet speeds, these delays become bigger. And while I can't really reduce the hoops in the...

Improving the responsiveness of the server

Had tried doing that and although starts the page render phase a little bit faster, but doesn't do anything for the state file serving speed. My guess as of now is that since these images have long expire values, only new visitors are being served with them and hence these aren’t getting...

Improving the responsiveness of the server

Which is why I am a little bit surprised, since the php files seems to take less time to start getting downloaded than the smaller files. Have checked at various times during the day, even when the load is miniscule (we rarely hit more than 1.5 at peak on 4 core HT server in any case) and...

Improving the responsiveness of the server

I am looking to improve the responsiveness of my Litespeed server, it is running on an E-1230 V2 with 16GB of RAM and normal SATA drives and have memcache running also eaccelerator in disk cache made. Server load is usually quite low and so is memory usage and I have been playing around with...

Improving the responsiveness of the server

I have a vbulletin forum running vbseo as well, right now I am thinking of caching just the images, javascripts and css files. In such a scenario what will I need to do (running WHM server with Apache Config).

    Apache restarts on its on

Thank you very much, it was set to no. Have gone ahead and set it now to "Use Apache binary wrapper". But it wasn't happening on the older server, which too was using 4.1.13

    Apache restarts on its on

I have a particular problem, where Apache restarts instead of Litespeed after I guess Cpanel checks for update each night. So every morning I have to log into WHM and enable Litespeed and disable Apache, this wasn't happening on my earlier server but ever since I switched to this new one...

    vB seo + litespeed cache

Not really, it works alright. Have been running it for almost couple of weeks now.

    php cache

I don't think xcache and APC is used when php is used in suEXEC mode. Only eacccelerator in disk cache mode would work. Also make sure WT3 isn't compressing the pages as well, if gzip compression is already enabled in Litespeed.
