How to switch from LiteSpeed server to Apache

#1
Hi, i have took over the maintenance of a Wordpress site that just moved from a LiteSpeed server hosting to a different hosting with Apache server.

1 - First question: What are the steps to make a good transition to Apache?

Nothing had been done to the site when the servers were changed.

I tried just deleting the LS plugin and install another WP cache plugin, W3 Total Cache, but the site has big problems:
- for every change done to the site I need to purge the cache for the change to take effect.
- the site speed is very slow. It was slow on the previous server too which was a shared server with significant lower resources compared with the new server which is a VPS with better resources.
2 - Is any of this related to the way the move was made from the LS server?

1. Since your site is start working on the new hosting/shared server, then nothing to do with the previous server/web server.
For w3 cache purge issue, please consult your hosting company or ask question here https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/w3-total-cache/
If site loads slow is an issue to you, have you consider to choose a hosting company which support LiteSpeed web server?

2. No.
