lsws restart all time

hi i have a little problem

sometimes my litespeed process going %100 cpu use and restarting
its happend every 5 min (arround)

i cant found anything in logs

load is normal 1.50 - 3.00

i use centos 6.5 and directadmin

any ideas?

i see now litespeed not restart web server
just stuck %100 cpu (freeze loading web sites) and start again. when websites start again cpu usage drop...

what's the version of lsws ? please upgrade to latest 4.2.16 if not yet.

if still 100% CPU, try diable mod_security first, see if any difference.

anyway, need you provide more information.

1. if disable mod_security, will the issue gone?

2. you can strace the 100% CPU process, to know what it's doing when 100% CPU:
strace -p pid-of-100%-CPU-process

3.you can provide us the access to the server to watch the issue and troubleshoot on it.

while this is bad for a production server, it's good for debug.

i disable mod_sec and now works perfect

what is wrong with mod_sec rules?

this has narrowed down the scope greatly.
most likely a rule caused 100% CPU, now need figure out which rule.
what mod_security rule set are you using ?
to figure out which rule, I think you can enable half of all the rules. if no 100% CPU issue, then the problem rule should exist in another half. --- this way may be able to trace down to the single rule which caused the trouble.
