on cpanel,should i ssh to server to modify the config file manually ? or i can control them from whm ?

With control panel, there is almost nothing you have to edit manually. WHM is for server wide configuration, so better use cPanel for account based configuration. See cPanel documentation: https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lsws/cp/cpanel/
