hi

I've installed a few of these litespeed servers now, but on this one, it wont start the admin section. If I do a netstat there is nothing running on port 7080.

I cant see any errors, and the server is otherwise running fantastically... but I cant get into the admin panel :s

thanks for the prompt reply.

Now I see litespeed running:
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:7080 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 6593/litespeed (lsh
and the firewall allows connection:

ACCEPT tcp -- anywhere anywhere state NEW tcp dpt:7080
ACCEPT tcp -- anywhere anywhere state NEW tcp dpt:7080
Still cant reach it though.

Note: its a cpanel server and I cant get to it from within or from without.

well, that worked..

hmm....

wget 127.0.0.1:7080
--2010-09-14 18:57:15-- http://127.0.0.1:7080/
Connecting to 127.0.0.1:7080... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 302 Found
Location: /login.php [following]
--2010-09-14 18:57:15-- http://127.0.0.1:7080/login.php
My IP is also "whitelisted" so there should be even less chance its the firewall, but I might try it with it off..
edit: no difference.

there may be other place to block 7080. for example, the server's gateway firewall.

you can also try change 7080 to a bigger number, for example 15000, see if it can be reached.

actually, good point, the host does have a rather strict firewall, I had forgotten.

I shall get onto them. Sorry for wasting your time.
