LSCache v7.8 for WordPress: transients not working in multisite environment

After upgrading to v7.8 of LiteSpeed Cache for WordPress, set_transient() and get_transient() are not working as expected. set_transient() does not appear to touch the database, and get_transient() just returns false.

Reverting to v7.7 restores expected transient behavior.

Wordpress: v6.9.1, multisite
PHP: v8.3.28 (on shared host, believe LSAPI)
MariaDB: v11.8.3

This is on a shared host (Hostinger). Kernel string = 4.18.0-553.84.1.lve.el8.x86_64 implies CloudLinux 8 running LiteSpeed

CDN is not enabled.
